Removing ( Refitting )

1. Using the tool (1a), compress the retaining clips (1a) and disconnect the brake servo push rod from the pedal.

2. Compress the clips and remove the brake pedal fastening pin.

3. Remove the brake pedal.

1. Remove the retaining device from the brake servo push rod.

The retaining device must be replaced each time the brake servo push rod is dismantled.

1. Remove the sliding bushes from the brake pedal.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Fit new sliding bushes on the brake pedal and lubricate them using suitable grease.

- Place the brake pedal back in its housing and secure it using the pin.

Check that the pin (a) is locked with the splining for the pedal mounting as illustrated.

- Fit the new retaining device on the brake pedal to attach the retaining clips; position the brake servo push rod ball joint seat.

- Retract the brake servo slightly, raise the pedal and position the brake servo push rod by the retaining device.

- Press the brake pedal to fit the brake servo push rod on the retaining device.
