Refitting

   Op. 7040A37 FUSE BOX COVER IN INSTRUMENT PANEL - R.R

- Unscrew the brake-clutch fluid reservoir plug and drain it with reference to

    Op. 0010T67 HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM - BLEED AIR

1. Disconnect the clutch pump supply pipe from the brake-clutch fluid reservoir.

1. Lift up the clip and disconnect vibration damper from the clutch pump.

- Disconnect the electrical connection for the accelerator pedal.

1. Undo the side bolt securing the dashboard reinforcement plate.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the dashboard reinforcement plate (1b).

1. Using the tool (1a), press the retaining tabs (1a) and disconnect the brake servo push rod from the pedal.

1. Remove the retaining device from the brake servo push rod.

The retaining device must be replaced each time the brake servo push rod is dismantled.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the steering column (1b) from the steering box pinion.

1. Undo the nuts securing the pedal unit mounting to the brake servo and to the body.

2. Remove the pedal unit complete with mounting and clutch pump.

Removing

1. Fit the pedal unit assembly (1a) in place and tighten the nuts (1b) to the recommended torque.

- Fit the new retaining device on the brake pedal to attach the retaining clips; position the brake servo push rod ball joint seat.

- Retract the brake servo slightly, raise the pedal and position the brake servo push rod by the retaining device.

- Press the brake pedal to fit the brake servo push rod on the retaining device.

1. Connect the steering column (1a) to the steering box pinion and tighten the bolt (1b) to the recommended torque.

- Place the dashboard reinforcement plate in position and tighten the bolts.

- Connect the electrical connection for the accelerator pedal.

- Connect the vibration damper to the brake pump and attach the retaining clip.

- Connect the supply pipe to the clutch pump, brake-clutch fluid reservoir side.
