Test results

If the error type is MUTE, check:

- CAN line continuity

- Parking sensor control unit connector (control unit disconnected from the network)

 See E3090 PARKING SENSOR

Go to Step 2

1. CAN line wiring interrupted

2. Parking control unit connector

1. Restore the CAN line continuity

2.Connect the parking control unit connector

If the type of error is 'BUS OFF'

Check for control unit errors with IDS in 'CAN information' mode

Check the insulation of the CAN High to earth

Check the insulation of the CAN Low to + battery

Go to Step 3

1. Network control unit faulty (CAN overloaded)

2. CAN short circuit to earth

3. Short circuit to + battery

1. Continue as instructed by the diagnostic equipment

2. Restore insulation to earth

3. Restore insulation to + battery

If the error type is "CAN register", replace the parking control unit and check correct operation
