The diagnostic equipment signals the following error: "U1702 - EPS electric steering (NGE)"

This error is signalled if the control unit does not detect the electric steering

Detach the connector for the ABS control unit and check, using the Examiner, that the control unit side circuit resistance is 120 Ohms like on the connector side

Check the electric steering supply voltage (power pins A and B)

to ensure that the control unit checks whether there are any errors still present.

Return to the workshop and check that the fault is no longer present using the diagnostic equipment.
