Test results

- Connect the diagnostic equipment and, in the "PARAMETERS" (Engine Management) mode, check the "CLUTCH PEDAL STATUS" parameter.

Press the clutch pedal and read "PRESSED". Release the clutch pedal and read "RELEASED"

- Detach the connector for the switch and check that the switch is working properly using the tester in this procedure:

- the switch has four pins: connect the probes to the first two and check, by pressing the switch, that the circuit switches from normally closed to normally open. Connect the probes to the other two and check, that when the switch is pressed, the circuits switches from normally open to normally closed.

Check the electrical continuity between the clutch switch and the engine management control unit

Electrical continuity failure between the switch and the engine management control unit

Restore the correct connection.
