145 - MiTo   1.4 16v TJet   Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (Subfault)   C0062

The diagnostic equipment signals the following error: "C0062 - Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor"

This error is signalled if the sensor voltage is < 0.3 V or > 4.7 V or if the sensor supply voltage is < 4.7 V or > 5.3 V or if the value sent by the sensor is not plausible. This means that there is an open circuit or short circuit (positive or earth) for the sensor or the wiring, that the sensor is mechanically damaged or that the reading circuit is damaged

OUTPUT VOLTAGE CHECK

All OK

Problems encountered

Operation

Check that the signal output voltage for the yaw sensor (lateral acceleration signal) is between 0.3 and 4.7 V

 See E7023 ESP

Check that the sensor supply voltage is between 4.7 and 5.3 V

 See E7023 ESP

Go to Step 3

Voltage outside of range

Go to Step 2

2

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECK

All OK

Problems encountered

Operation

Check the continuity (no open circuit, short circuit to Vbat or short circuit to earth) in the yaw sensor power wiring.

 See E7023 ESP

Check that the yaw sensor is correctly fastened.

Go to Step 3

1. Wiring faulty

2. Sensor fastening faulty

1. Restore the wiring and go to Step 4

2. Restore the correct fastening of the yaw sensor.

3

CORRECT OPERATION CHECK

All OK

Problems encountered

Operation

Delete the errors using the diagnostic equipment.

Road test

See Test 3350EA ESP SYSTEM INTERVENTION CHECK

to ensure that the control unit checks whether the errors are still present. Return to the workshop and check that the fault is no longer present using the diagnostic equipment

End of diagnosis

The fault persists

Replace the yaw sensor
