Visually check the state of the sensor affected by the error and the wiring

Go to Step 2

1.Replace the sensor

 Op. 3340A30 RPM SENSOR (ONE) FOR ONE FRONT WHEEL, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

2. Restore the correct connections

 See E7023 ESP

Check that the control unit connector is not faulty at the pins (on both the wiring side and the control unit side) by carrying out a visual inspection.

In particular, check that:

- They are not oxidized

- They are not distorted or broken

Go to Step 3

1. Wiring side connector faulty

2. Control unit side side connector faulty

1. Replace the wiring

2. Replace the electronic part of the control unit

Place the vehicle on the lift and enter the Brake Node diagnosis, turn the corresponding wheel and see whether the Examiner displays the wheel speed

Go to Step 6

The speed of the wheel cannot be evaluated from the Test

Go to Step 4

Check the wiring from the control unit to the wheel speed sensor intermediate connector (no open circuit, short circuit to Vb, short circuit to earth)

Go to Step 5

The wiring is faulty (open circuit, short circuit)

Replace the wiring from the control unit to the connector

Check the wiring from the wheel speed sensor intermediate connector (no open circuit, short circuit to Vb, short circuit to earth)

Go to Step 6

The wiring is faulty (open circuit, short circuit)

Replace the sensor and final section of the wiring

Delete the errors using the diagnostic equipment.

Turn the key OFF and then ON to ensure that the control unit checks whether the errors are still present.

Check that the fault is no longer present

End of diagnosis

The fault persists.
