Test results

If the type of error is "MUTE"

Check:

- CAN line continuity

- Instrument panel control unit connector (control unit disconnected from the network)

 See E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL

Go to Step 2

1. CAN line wiring interrupted

2. Instrument panel control unit connector

1. Restore the CAN line continuity

2. Connect instrument panel connector

If the type of error is "BUS OFF"

Check for control unit errors using an Examiner in "CAN information" mode

Check the insulation of the CAN High to earth

Check the insulation of the CAN Low to + battery

Go to Step 3

1. Network control unit faulty (CAN overloaded)

2. CAN short circuit to earth

3. Short circuit to + battery

1. Continue as instructed by the diagnosis equipment

2. Restore insulation to earth

3. Restore insulation to + battery

If the type of error is "CAN adjustment"

Replace the instrument panel control unit and check that it is working properly
